For my overseas readers, I appreciate that you would love your home towns and be loyal to your country of birth and residence just as I am, but seriously. Australia is just an all round awesome place to live.

EXCEPT.

International Shipping Fees.

If you wanna buy fabric from anywhere overseas you best be prepared to take out a second mortgage or sell your first born. I know that we are WAY down under, but honestly I feel like shipping companies think we Aussies are on the bloody moon!

I know it’s not the fault of the fabric suppliers, and I know first hand that they keep their shipping costs to an absolute minimum. If fact I have no idea who’s reaping the benefits and the profits of International Shipping costs, all I know is that it cuts into my fabric buying budget!

But Hurray! I have put together this awesome sauce list of Australian Fabric Suppliers Online. Between them all, you should have the majority of your bases covered. From Tilda to Liberty to Tula Pink and back again.

Now I should point out that I have a quilters eye when it comes to buying fabric. The majority of these retailers do also stock knits, minky and dressmaking fabrics. But I just want to make it clear that I was all about the woven cottons when I was researching this one!

All jokes aside, I think it is really important to support local businesses where we can. And if you can save some cash on shipping, that great too.
